Apricot Kernel Oil |
An odourless, almost Colourless Oil. Suitable for all skin
types, especially elderly, dry or inflamed skin. Good for facial care as it is
light and easily absorbed. The downside is that it is quite
expensive. |

| Avocado Oil |
Useful for dry and dehydrated Skin, but is fairly
expensive |

| Grapeseed Oil |
Has a slight smell,and is pale green/yellow in colour. A very
versatile and easily absorbed oil, suitable for most skin types. Avoid
using on sensitive skin, eczama and psoriasis. Inexpensive to buy. |

| Jojoba Oil |
A
waxy oil with a slight smell, yellow/orange in colour. Suitable for all skin
types including eczama, psoriasis, acne, inflamed and older skins. Cost is
expensive. |

| Almond Oil |
Odourless and colourless/pale yellow. This is the best oil to
use on babies and children, it is nourishing, softening and revitalizing for
all skin types. Will help itching, soreness, dryness, inflammation and wrinkled
dry hands and its affordable to buy. |

| Wheatgerm Oil |
Strong odour which can adversely affect the aroma,
yellow/orange in colour, should only be used with anther carrier oil never on
it's own. Useful for prematurely aged skin, eczama and psoriasis. Not for use
on babies or children. reasonably priced. |

| Blending |
There is several ways to blend your oils, you will find a
measuring cup and funnel useful for all. Method one
Add correct number of essential oil drops to the appropriate amount of carrier
oil in a bottle and shake well Method Two If making
a blend it is easier to add the required drops to the bottle first, gentle roll
the bottle in your hand to blend the oils well then fill with the measured
quantity of carrier oil to complete the recipe. Method
three If you are going to use all the oil at once, it can be mixed
in a small china or glass dish, measure the quantities into the dish and blend
well together. Healthcare and First aid Use 3-5
drops of essential oil to 10ml of carrier oil, unless otherwise stated.
Self Help and Beauty Use 3 drops of essential oil to
10ml of carrier oil, unless otherwise stated. |

| Storage |
Store all oils in a cool dark place. |
|
| Allergies |
If you have a nut allergy then choose a seed based oil. avoid
wheatgerm if the allergy you have is to wheat. Some people suffer from
allergies to vegetable oil products, avoid the appropriate one relating to your
allergy. |
