Recipes using Essential Oils

After Shave Splash
This formula is refreshing, antiseptic and spot clearing, you can vary the essential oils and make your own designer version.

Blend together 20ml Witch Hazel, 60ml Rose Water, 10ml Cider Vinegar,10ml Benzoin tincture (Benzoin diluted), 6 drops of Lemon oil, 2 drops Lavender oil, 10 drops Rosemary oil and 3 drops Lime oil.

Shaving Cuts
Make up this mix and keep handy in the bathroom cabinet for when it is needed.. Put all the ingredients in a bottle and shake well each time you want to use it, Dab a little on to the cut to stem the bleeding and it acts as an antiseptic
10 drops Witch Hazel, 10 drops Lavender oil and 10 drops Yarrow oil.

Shaving Rash
Spread a little of the following preparation over the rash after shaving, leave it on for a few minutes then remove excess with a tissue, it has fast results!

Blend together 20ml Evening Primrose oil, 10 drops Lavender oil, 10 drops Chamomile Blue and 5 drops Calendula oil.

Shaving Inflammation and Sensitivity
Splash this on your face if you suffer with sensitive inflammed skin after shaving
Blend together 10ml diluted Myrrh, 30ml Rose Water, 10 drops Chamomile Blue, 2 drops Peppermint oil and 1 drop Lemon oil

Beards
Beards need to be looked after as does the skin beneath, otherwise all sorts of problems can occur, spots, nasty odours and dull lifeless growth which can appear most unattractive to all.
The following is a conditioning treatment that can be used during the initial growth period once a day, apply to the area massaging in well then wipe away excess with a tissue, it can also look after the established beard too, just massage into the beard and skin before taking a bath, wash off afterwards using cool boiled water.

Blend together 20ml Almond Oil, 10 ml Jojoba oil, 10 drops Rosemary oil, 5 drops Lavender oil, 5 drops Thyme oil and 10 drops Lemon oil.

Alternatively blend 100 drops Clary Sage oil, 110 drops Geranium oil and 70 drops of Lemon oil in a small bottle, shake well, add 5 drops of this to every bath.
